Welcome to the website of the school community of Mary Queen of Ireland National School, where pupils, parents, teachers and management work together to create a warm and welcoming environment for all who pass through our doors.

The school, situated at the entrance to Rivermeade estate, is in the parish of St. Canice’s, Finglas. Plans to build the school were set in motion in 1979. The name Mary Queen of Ireland was chosen in memory of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ireland in September 1979 and of the Dedication of the new Basilica in Knock, Co. Mayo to Our Lady Queen of Ireland.
