A huge well done to all our boys and girls who worked so hard with their teachers on their Irish dancing! They put on a fabulous show.
Fingal Athletics League
Well done to all our boys and girls who trained hard and ran in the Fingal League running competitions. Keep up the good work!
GAA (February 2020)
All of our students are currently having GAA classes with Nigel once a week. They are learning important skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, travelling and balancing.

Operation Get Moving! (January 2020)
In January, we began ‘Operation Get Moving’, where we invited our parents to join in some physical activities with us. Carol leads us as we do aerobics, boxercise and pilates. It has been a great start to 2020! Thank you and well done to all parents who have gotten involved.
Dancing at Christmas! (December 2019)
For our Christmas concert, all classes performed a Christmas dance. We had hip hop, ballet and modern dances to perform. The day was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who came to watch and support us.
Busy Breaks
Busy Breaks are a great way to squeeze in some extra physical activity during our day. They also make sure our brains get a well deserved rest from working so hard! We love go noodle and 10 at 10.
Take on the Teacher Challenge! (September 2019)
We participated in the ‘Take on the Teachers’ challenge this month for National Fitness Day. Junior infants to 2nd class danced their way to victory in a game of musical chairs with the teachers. 3rd to 6th Class didn’t have as much luck, with the teachers winning a game of rounders! Overall, it was a draw and everyone had a great time!
Shake and Wake
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning we do shake and wake in our classroom to start the day. Our Active Schools Committee comes in to help all the rooms with this. We listen to music to help keep us motivated!
Yard Time
We love to do a variety of activities during yard time. Some of the activities that we enjoy are football, basketball, skipping, hula hoops, dancing, and we even create our own games with chalk such as hopscotch and activity trails!
Rainy Days
In MQI, we even stay active during rainy days! We do rainy day workouts in our classroom if it is too wet to play in the yard.
